Description Salary £25,183 - £27,269 | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Safeguarding - Adults | Preston An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Safeguarding Support Officer to join our team. In this role, you will support the Children’s Safeguarding Assurance Partnership (CSAP), Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB), and Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) in delivering their assurance, statutory, and business functions through effective administrative and business support. As the Safeguarding Support Officer (internally referred to as a Business Support Officer), you will: Provide high-quality administrative support for safeguarding meetings and reviews Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion Coordinate meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing action logs Support data collection, reporting, and financial processes Liaise with internal teams and external partners across health, police, and local authority sectors What we’re looking for: Experience in an administration role, ideally in a safeguarding or multi-agency setting. You'll need to have experience minute taking and have excellent organisational skills. Experience working independently with the ability to prioritise your own work and use specialised IT systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues. 4 GCSEs at grade C and above or equivalent. This must include Maths and English. Given the sensitive and emotional nature of the work, the ability to manage confidential and distressing information with resilience is essential.
