The role involves taking charge of integrating LNAs, RF couplers, and RF switches on a Multi-Chip Module. Key responsibilities include RF circuit design, running simulations, and utilising 3D sim tools for layout simulations.
Responsibilities as an RF Design Engineer:
* Collaborate with internal and external IC design teams, focusing on integrated digital tunable capacitors, Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, RF switches, etc.
* Analyse and integrate LNA, RF couplers, and RF switch design blocks on multi-chip modules, ensuring low loss and high performance.
* Optimise layouts and integrated passives.
* Thrive in a fast-paced, innovative start/scale-up environment.
* Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members.
* Document results and share work with the team.
Qualifications as an RF Design Engineer:
* Proven experience specifying and integrating LNAs, couplers, and switches into RF systems.
* Understanding of receiver desensitisation mechanisms and experience in characterising/debugging receiver de-sensitisation issues.
* Knowledge of low noise, high-efficiency, high linearity design techniques for 4G/5G RF front-end modules or other multi-band/wideband RF receivers.
* Proficiency in RF fundamentals, impedance matching, Smith charts, passive RLC, filter designs (pole/zero analysis), linearity, harmonics, etc.
* Experienced in using simulation and layout tools like ADS, Microwave Office, etc.
