Job Title: Design Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: GBP 30,000 : GBP 40,000 per annum
Responsibilities
* Design and develop lighting products and components from concept through to production.
* Create detailed 3D and 2D CAD models and engineering drawings.
* Collaborate with production, procurement, and project teams to ensure designs meet performance, aesthetic, and cost requirements.
* Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation, BoMs, and specifications.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and product innovation initiatives.
Requirements
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Product Design, Mechanical Design, or Electrical Engineering.
* Proven experience in lighting design or similar product development.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
* Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.
* Excellent problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
