As Occupational Therapists, we are positioned to shape the culture of inpatient settings to promote a therapeutic environment that enhances interventions and supports a recovery-focused ethos on the units.
KMPT offers an extensive preceptorship program for newly qualified staff. Our ward environments provide a unique opportunity to develop your Occupational Therapy skills within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
The post holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
Your responsibilities include: identifying, developing, and providing Occupational Therapy contributions within the multidisciplinary service based on the needs of service users; assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating therapeutic interventions; managing a caseload using evidence-based, service user-centered, hope and recovery, health promotion, and relapse prevention principles.
You must be able to complete Physical Interventions Training to work on the ward.
