Overview

Would you like to become a member of our Primary Care Services secretarial team providing innovative care to our patient population as part of an outstanding CQC organisation?

Do you want to have a job that makes a difference and helps people? Are you organised, and keen to use your skills to help our doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to provide an outstanding service for patients? Then you might fit in very well in our secretarial team.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced administrator who can work cross site at our three integrated practices Moorcroft Medical Centre, Holmcroft Surgery (Stafford) and Keele Health Centre. Therefore the ability to drive and be adaptable to the demands of the service is a must.


Responsibilities

* Send referrals created by clinicians to the relevant services.
* Process subject access requests and non-NHS forms in relation to our patients.
* Work cross site at Moorcroft Medical Centre, Holmcroft Surgery (Stafford) and Keele Health Centre; support the current team in managing incoming workload.
* Use EMIS, iGPR and Microsoft software (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).
* Send referral letters to secondary care; complete SARS and non-NHS requests.
* Work within processes and protocols to ensure compliance with CQC and information governance requirements.
* Maintain a general breadth of knowledge across tasks and request further support and training as gaps are identified.
* Liaise with and support practice team members, outside agencies and patients for general queries.
* Contribute towards any projects or pilots that the practice may take part in.
* Act on clinical team queries and/or instructions from the clinical team; identify issues needing escalation and action.
* Contribute towards setting up appropriate protocols and adhering to them.
* Cover team absences to ensure a safe working environment and preservation of safe working systems.


Requirements / Qualifications

* Experience as an administrator or medical secretary with the ability to support clinicians and the wider team.
* Proactive, well-organised, and able to work across multiple sites and with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficiency with EMIS, iGPR and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.).
* Understanding of information governance and ability to work to CQC requirements.
* Willingness to undertake training and adapt to service demands.
