Role Description

The Senior Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering will be responsible for delivering high‑quality teaching, curriculum development, and research in the field of Aerospace Engineering. This includes designing and delivering innovative lectures, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate projects, and contributing to the development of new academic programmes. The role also involves pursuing research or scholarly activities that align with the university’s strategic priorities, publishing high‑quality outputs, and contributing to funding acquisition. The Senior Lecturer will work closely with colleagues, support student learning, and engage with academic and industry partners. This is a full‑time, on‑site position located at the Wolverhampton campus.


Qualifications

* Expertise in Aerospace Engineering, including knowledge of areas such as aerodynamics, propulsion systems, or materials science.
* Experience in course design, curriculum development, and delivering engaging lectures and workshops.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct research, publish academic papers, and secure research funding in Aerospace or related fields.
* Proficiency in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, with a focus on academic mentoring and support.
* Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills to engage with colleagues, students, and external industry partners effectively.
* A doctoral degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field is required.
* A track record of teaching excellence and/or pedagogical innovation is highly desirable.
* Experience working in or with the aerospace industry would be an added advantage.
