Set in the heart of Newmarket, a beautiful and historic
horseracing town, Wildwood is a grand, two-floor restaurant with 120 covers and
a striking open kitchen. We’re a destination venue with a lively atmosphere,
strong all-day trade, and a loyal local following.
We serve lunch and dinner, delivering full table service
with personality, pace, and confidence. This role is about owning the restaurant
floor, leading from the front, and making sure every guest leaves feeling
looked after.
The package
The stated package includes the predicated service
charge. This is based on an hourly rate on a 40-hour contract. This means
that additional hours worked will be paid.
The vibe
This isn’t a ‘clipboard in the corner’ role. You’ll be on
the floor, in the action, running services, leading shifts, setting standards,
and driving energy across both floors. From the moment guests walk in, you’re
shaping their experience.
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes restaurants,
understands how food, service, and atmosphere work together, and loves being
part of a busy, high-profile operation.

What you’ll be owning
• Leading restaurant services across a high-volume,
two-floor site
• Being visible, vocal, and hands-on during busy shifts
• Setting and maintaining service standards across the floor
• Supporting and developing your team so they perform at their best
• Stepping in when standards slip and
making sure they don’t again
• Managing labour, rotas, and day-to-day operations
• Working closely with the kitchen to deliver smooth, confident service
• Creating an environment where guests want to return and teams enjoy working
