Leader Education is recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support students with SEND and challenging behaviour. This school is based in Cramlington, Northumberland. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs. Assist students in managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies and de-escalation techniques. Work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to implement tailored learning plans. Support students in building confidence, independence, and social skills. Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. What We’re Looking For Experience working with SEND students or young people with additional needs (school, youth work, care, or similar). Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive when faced with challenging behaviour. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A caring, resilient, and proactive approach.
