About the Role
The Academic Support Officer plays a key, visible part in ensuring a quality student experience and academic support on the SAE campuses. The role is an ADEUK wide position, but will be delivered primarily on a single SAE or joint SAE/ICMP campus. The role is a campus lead for providing additional student learning and academic support throughout their academic journey, from induction through to graduation, paying close attention to their transition into, through and out of study at ICMP/SAE, to ensure successful progression, retention, qualification completion and engagement. They are responsible for ensuring students are encouraged to be independent, successful learners and become future‑ready by providing advice and guidance that builds resilience, whilst balancing the demands of study, lifestyle and other commitments. Meeting with students individually or in groups through appointments, drop‑in sessions and workshops, underpinning the delivery of student support plans, and working closely with faculty to determine appropriate strategies which ensure improved student learning and outcomes.
