We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, enthusiastic and vibrant Science Teacher of Science to join our Science and Technology Faculty at Thurston Community College. The faculty is staffed by experienced teachers who are passionate about their subjects and their teaching. The faculty work collaboratively and welcome forward-thinking initiatives and are able to offer a new colleague advice, support and professional development opportunities in a friendly, positive and creative environment. Within Science there are outstanding resources for teaching and learning with a total of sixteen laboratories across our two campuses and dedicated preparation areas. All staff and students have access to excellent ICT resources for use both within the laboratories and in specialist ICT suites. We welcome applications from experienced and early careers teachers. Thurston Community College is a large popular mixed comprehensive school. It comprises two distinct and specialist sites. Our Thurston Campus, for students from Year 7 to Year 11 is situated four miles east of Bury St Edmunds. Thurston Sixth is located in the nearby village of Beyton, offering a bespoke centre of excellence for students in Year 12 and Year 13.
