About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for three Social Workers to join our Continuing Care Team, which supports young people between the ages of 14 and 26 years. Young people supported by this service are in receipt of throughcare and aftercare and/or are experiencing other adolescent challenges such as coming into conflict with the law. This is an exciting time to join the team, and the role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of this evolving service and to help keep the PROMISE for young people.
What Will You Be Doing?
The role requires you to be part of and support the successful implementation of this new service, as well as having the commitment and drive to improve outcomes for young people. You will work in partnership with other agencies to ensure you "Get it Right" for our Young People. As a Social Worker within the team, you will support young people who may be impacted by the Care and Justice (Scotland) Act 2024 and may need formal care and protection measures.
About You
The successful candidate should be registered with the SSSC and have an interest and commitment to working with adolescents and young people. The candidate should be innovative and committed to driving forward the implementation of a new service. Additionally, they should be a committed team player, enthusiastic about leading the service, and capable of working collaboratively with other social workers and partner agencies.
The successful candidates need to have a driver’s license, as the service supports young people across the South Lanarkshire Area. Candidates should have at least two years of post-qualifying experience.
