We Are Recruiting for a Procurement Assistant ▶ Salary: £25,000 to £29,000 dependent on qualifications and experience ▶ Job type: Full time and Permanent This opportunity has arisen from our ongoing success and growth in the renewable energy sector. We are looking for a Procurement Assistant. As part of the Procurement Team, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement manager and ensuring compliance with company procedure and process in line with Powersystems' strategy. Duties and responsibilities of the role include: ▶ Support the Procurement Manager to ensure procurement is compliant with company procedure and process ▶ Supporting the Procurement Manager by negotiating with suppliers for best quality, service and price ▶ Maintain and manage supplier relationships as well as assist in the vetting and review of supplier performance ▶ Liaise with Project Engineers for the preparation of project procurement schedules ▶ Process requisitions, send and receive RFQs, place purchase orders with suppliers to ensure goods, plant and services are compliant with contract requirements and delivered on time ▶ Support finance in resolving invoices and account discrepancies ▶ Prepare analysis and reports on costs, procurement process and targets ▶ Uphold a professional image, contribute to Powersystems' success, and proactively improve services and efficiency. ▶ Embrace and demonstrate the Company’s 5 core Principles of: PriorityNo.1 – Health, Safety and Well-being, Professionalism, Pride, Partnership and Proactive Here’s what you need to be successful in the role: ▶ Experience in procurement or purchasing, preferable within the construction industry ▶ Enthusiastic, hardworking and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve deadlines and targets ▶ Proven attention to detail and able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills ▶ Proficiency in industry-standard software and comfortable using all Microsoft applications and have robust IT literacy ▶ A team player with a confident and enthusiastic attitude ▶ Strong organisational, time management, IT (MS Office), and report writing skills, with excellent spoken and written English. ▶ Ability to clearly communicate technical and commercial information, negotiate effectively, and contribute to a dynamic team. ▶ Adaptable, resilient, proactive, willing to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays, and holds a full UK driving licence.
