Job Overview
* Delivery of varying fabric repairs and projects, hosting of subcontractors. This role will also include multi‑trade requirement for the completion of reactive helpdesk tickets and assistance in the completion of project‑related tasks and other ADHOC facilities requests.
* Have the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a complex working environment.
* Ownership of workshop and machine shop.
* Deliver service with pride.
* Liaise with internal customers, clients and engineers at all levels.
Main Duties
* Fire Door PPM service and repairs.
* Repairs and maintenance to building fabric.
* Minor repair and maintenance of tiling, walls and ceiling.
* Remedial minor building works following PPM activities completed by other service lines.
* Painting and decorating projects (as and when required).
* Flooring repair and new installations.
* Basic plumbing repairs.
* Basic plastering.
* Stock management of site consumables.
* Relocation or removal of furniture.
* Hosting of subcontractors.
* Flexibility to work out of hours and at weekends.
What we are looking for
* Qualified to a C&G or NVQ in a fabric trade, such as carpentry, painting and decorating, etc.
* Previous experience of working as a fabric technician.
* Strong customer service experience.
* Ability to be proactive and identify opportunities.
* Experience of PDA or iPad technology for reporting and completion of jobs is essential, as this forms part of the process to complete and sign off each job.
