In this position, you will play a key role in the sale of our full range of building supplies products therefore previous sales experience in a similar role within a builder’s merchant environment is essential.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Providing quotations for customers
* Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone
* Counter sales
* Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice
* Taking a proactive approach to building product sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.
* Use a customer relationship management system (CRM) holding a portfolio of 100 + customers
* Generate new business with existing and new customers
* Upsell and gap analysis on existing customers
* Cold calling
* Lead qualifying
* Quote follow up
Qualifications and Skills
1. Motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, self-driven, positive attitude
2. This role will also require a percentage of external site visits, so a drivers licence is essential
3. Sound building supplies knowledge is required
4. Previous sales experience in a builder’s merchant environment is essential
5. Strong sales experience is essential for this role
6. Confident dealing with customers
7. The ability to build great customer relationships
8. A good telephone manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skill
