We are seeking an experienced Lead Radiographer responsible for the operational management of part of the diagnostic imaging department, ensuring high-quality imaging services. Alternatively, you may serve as a specialty lead in clinical areas such as MRI, CT, or mammography, supporting the Radiology Manager. You should possess relevant specialist knowledge, previous people management experience, and good communication and IT skills to help us build a healthier nation as a Lead Radiographer at our hospital.
The Radiology department is busy and expanding, covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, mammography, and MRI. Your duties will include managing daily operations of the radiology service and participating in clinical work.
You must hold a BSc degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification, and be HCPC registered. Knowledge of IRMER, IRR, and the ability to undertake audits are required. Radiation Protection Supervisor training/qualification is desirable.
Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS disclosure.

* Provide clinical leadership within a highly specialised area.
* Participate in departmental QA, audits, and mandatory training.
* Develop policies and procedures as a clinical lead.
* Support and deputise for the Radiology Manager.
* Supervise and develop staff, including mentoring students and perceptees.
* Collaborate with practitioners and other departments within the hospital.
* Approach each patient with understanding and empathy.
* Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
