Paralegal – Clinical Negligence

Are you an experienced Paralegal with a passion for supporting clients through sensitive and complex cases? This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and supportive Clinical Negligence team, based in modern offices in the heart of Glasgow.
You’ll play a key role in the team, managing your own caseload and supporting Solicitors across a wide variety of matters, including:
* Delayed diagnosis and hospital negligence
* GP and surgical negligence
* Birth injury claims
* Fatal accident cases
This is a client-facing position where you’ll act as a trusted point of contact, providing clear, empathetic advice while ensuring cases are progressed efficiently. You’ll gain exposure to both pre-litigation and litigated cases in the All Scotland Sheriff Personal Injury Court and the Court of Session.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Handling your own caseload of clinical negligence claims
* Reviewing medical records, taking statements, and instructing expert witnesses
* Drafting key correspondence, including letters of claim and instructions to Counsel
* Assisting with expert consultations and negotiations
* Liaising with clients regularly to provide updates and reassurance
* Supporting Solicitors and Partners within the team while maintaining accurate case management records
We’re looking for a Paralegal who:
* Has at least 1 year of experience handling clinical negligence cases
* Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Can manage a busy caseload and work proactively
* Is empathetic, client-focused, and able to handle sensitive matters with care
* Communicates clearly and confidently, both in writing and over the phone
* Works well both independently and as part of a wider team
