As a specialist lead for our One You Stop Smoking programme in Westminster, you will be responsible for managing a small team of Health & Wellbeing Coaches, and assisting with the direct delivery of health & wellbeing behavioural lifestyle interventions. The role will be responsible for the effective delivery of the programme through meeting and exceeding participant, company, and commissioner needs and promotion of the service to key stakeholders and referral partners. Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Leadership & Team Management Health & Wellbeing Coach Managers will line manage a small team of Health & Wellbeing Coaches primarily assigned to the service stream(s) for which they have responsibility. They will motivate and inspire their team to take ownership for and to deliver high impact, high quality lifestyle and wellbeing services. Service Improvement & Promotion Health & Wellbeing Coach Managers will take lead responsibility for one or more service streams, dependent on the size and complexity of the integrated health service to which they are assigned. They will be responsible for promoting the service and ensuring its delivery to the highest standards. Service Delivery Health & Wellbeing Coach Managers will spend approximately 50% of their time directly delivering services, normally within the service streams for which they have responsibility. Service delivery will involve a mix of group based, 1-to-1 delivery and, where appropriate home visits. Essential Criteria An understanding of or interest in smoking cessation. Experience of managing a service/projects/stakeholder relationships/teams within a target orientated environment. Experience of promoting/marketing public services to stakeholder / referral partners. Demonstrative experience of developing productive external stakeholder relationships. High level of personal organisation and time management skills. Desirable Criteria Degree or equivalent qualification in a health related subject (e.g. health improvement, promotion, public health, nutrition etc); and/or A directly relevant qualification to the service stream specialism. For example; Smoking Cessation – NCSCT Certificates in Smoking Cessation Practitioner including the following areas smoking cessation; mental health, pregnancy and post-partum period, VBW and second-hand smoke. Demonstrated capability to work with MS Office packages and basic databases; capable of maintaining accurate and up to date records in paper and electronic systems to a high standard. Holding such records securely and confidentially. Fluency in community languages. Community languages may include: Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Somali, Vietnamese, Dari, Yoruba, Turkish, French, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Guajarati, Polish, Serbian and Greek (dependent on location of service delivery). Experience in using coaching skills and/or behavioural techniques to help individuals to improve their health and/or physical fitness.
