What We Offer
This position supports manufacturing processes at the Covestro South Deerfield Site, focusing on electrical projects to ensure the safe, responsible, and efficient production of Thermoplastic Polyurethane and Polycarbonate films.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Promote an incident-free workplace culture, manage electrical safety projects, and lead safety teams. Investigate and resolve complex electrical safety concerns. Manage Change activities for complex projects.
2. Lead complex electrical/control projects, support capital and improvement projects, and ensure compliance with industrial electrical standards. Perform detailed design calculations and develop standards for electrical systems.
3. Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams, utilize root cause analysis, and lead problem-solving activities for electrical issues.
4. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identify opportunities, and implement solutions related to electrical engineering.
5. Support process and quality engineering in electrical projects, troubleshoot during equipment start-up, and update standard operating procedures. Provide operator training on electrical activities.
6. Identify and develop project opportunities considering business and economic drivers.
What You Offer
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical preferred) with at least 4 years of experience.
* 8-10+ years in manufacturing, engineering, or maintenance roles with increasing responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Professional registrations/certifications (desirable).
* Experience with thermoplastic film extrusion and web handling.
* Knowledge of CAD, project management, and SAP systems.
Essential Skills:
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Active listening and effective communication abilities.
* Ability to relate well across all organizational levels, balancing safety, employee concerns, and business needs.
* Team player with leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams.
