Offer description

About The GCCA

Launched in 2018, the GCCA is a CEO led industry initiative whose members account for the majority of the global cement industry volume outside of China, as well as some leading Chinese manufacturers. Our members operate in almost every country of the world.

The GCCA is a CEO-led industry initiative with around 50 members. Its members, Board of Directors, and Executive team are committed to sustainability – reducing the impacts of cement production and promoting the unique properties of concrete as a sustainable, durable and resilient building material – a material that will answer the needs of a growing and increasingly urban population that is set to exceed 9 billion people by 2050.

GCCA is a not-for-profit international association with an executive team and secretariat that is directed by the Board on behalf of members to deliver a programme of activity with the support of member-led working groups and task groups. GCCA works closely with national and regional cement and concrete associations partners as well as key external stakeholders such as United Nations, UNIDO, IEA, GABC, ICC, IFC, Business for Nature, Cement Breakthrough, World Economic Forum, LeadIT, SBTI- to name a few.

Innovandi

Innovandi is the GCCA innovation arm, which runs three world class innovation platforms to accelerate and foster innovation to help the industry decarbonise and produce carbon neutral concrete by 2050.

The Innovandi Global Cement and Concrete Industry Research Network (GCCRN) is the world-class industrial-academic research network of the cement and concrete industry. It brings the worlds of global industry and academia together to drive and support innovation in the cement and concrete sector through essential actionable pre-competitive research focused on the needs of the industry.

The Innovandi Open Challenge is a global program which brings together tech start-ups and the world’s leading cement and concrete companies to help accelerate the next wave of innovations to achieve our net zero mission.

Our Innovandi Entrepreneur Network is our third program under our Innovandi brand, open to start-ups, interested in collaborating to support our shared net zero mission.
