About the Job
As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our Leisure Centre, ensuring a safe, enjoyable and quality customer experience, with a particular focus and responsibility on our wet side operations. You will also be responsible for proactively managing the Lifeguarding teams’ performance, health and safety on poolside, coordinating wet side timetables, events and rotas and setting team targets. Ultimately, you will ensure all operations flow smoothly and help us meet our company goals.
You will also be a key holder for the building and therefore, will be responsible for opening and closing the site whilst on shift. Our sites are open from 6am - 10pm so flexibility with working hours is required.
Key Responsibilities
Opening and closing of site and being first point of contact for any queries whilst on duty.
Supervise and coordinate regular maintenance and cleaning of the facility.
Responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly pool plant operations, tasks and checks.
Deal with any H&S incidents, accidents, safeguarding concerns & report on the management system.
Perform pool hygiene & safety checks.
Coordination of events and activities like gala’s and holiday camps.
Provide first class customer service to all users of the facility
Address any customer queries or complaints
Experience and Qualifications Required
First Aid at Work Qualification
Ideally hold or be able to work towards a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
Ideally hold or be able to work towards a Pool Plant Operator Qualification
Previous experience of managing operations within the leisure sector, with experience of wet side operations
Previous supervisory experience
The ability to communicate clearly, influence and motivate staff.
Experience of working within a Health & Safety critical environment with the ability to understand and implement legislation in the operational environment is essential.
