We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Bristol with a dedicated resource base for pupils with autism. They’ve built a calm, structured environment where children are supported to communicate, regulate, and thrive, and they’re looking for someone who gets it. This is a hands-on role, supporting pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, in the classroom and within the school’s specialist resource unit. What you’ll be doing Supporting pupils with autism on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Working both in the mainstream classroom and the specialist resource unit Helping pupils access learning through adapted activities and visual support Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies Building strong, consistent relationships that help pupils feel secure and understood What we’re looking for Experience supporting children with autism, in school or similar settings A calm, patient approach, you’re the steady presence in the room Confidence using structure, routine, and communication strategies A genuine passion for helping children develop independence and confidence Thrive trained?
