The Company:
Harnham have exclusively partnered with a high growth Boutique political research organization that specialises in Election data campaigns and public opinion. They work with political parties, major corporates, hedge funds and NGOs around the world to help them understand public opinion, and how it affects them.
The Role:
As a Data Research Scientist you will be responsible for the following;
* Building and deploying MRP models to help our clients understand likely election outcomes
* Understanding the range of our client’s problems and creatively designing technical solutions to help solve them
* Mining data for insight, exploring public and private data creatively with a view to unearthing new ways of thinking about a client problem
* Visualising outputs and explaining their import to clients, prospects and wider stakeholders
Skills and Experience:
* Experience with R or Python
* Experience with Bayesian statistics
* Familiarity with the concepts underpinning MRP, and ideally hands-on experience of designing and running multilevel regression
* Understanding of and interest in data pipelines and architecture
* Understanding of and interest in political science and electoral politics
* Your own way of thinking: we want to increase the cognitive diversity of the team with every new hire
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strong client service ethic
* An interest in politics and public opinion
The benefits:
As a Data Research Scientist, you can earn up to a base of £70,000 plus an aggressive benefits package
