As Royal Mail undergoes an ambitious transformation, the Construction team plays a key role in modernizing and defining future networks and investments to serve customers better. The Construction Manager will deliver capital improvement projects across the South East, London, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Anglia regions, managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading multi-disciplinary teams to manage major construction projects and maximize value.
* Applying effective project management tools and governance processes.
* Monitoring performance in safety, environment, quality, and other areas.
* Reporting on project performance, including financial and safety metrics.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and governance standards.
* Communicating effectively with stakeholders and managing relationships with contractors and vendors.
Candidate requirements:
* Proven experience managing property or construction projects.
* Strong safety and compliance knowledge.
* Skills in planning, programming, and project evaluation.
* Understanding of the construction industry and market.
* Environmental awareness in construction projects.
* Leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Relevant degree and professional qualifications (e.g., APM PMQ, RICS, ICE, CIOB).
* CSCS card or equivalent safety certification.
