Overview
We are looking for a Hospitality Coordinator to assist in ensuring that a quality and cost-effective Catering and Cleaning service is provided to service users and customers within Fife Council Care Sector. This role involves the management and operational delivery of the Catering & Cleaning functions in care homes and the Meals on Wheels Service on behalf of Health & Social Care.
Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver Catering & Cleaning functions in care homes.
* Oversee the operational delivery of the Meals on Wheels Service.
* Work on a rota for weekend cover and be flexible to evening, weekend and public holiday work as required.
* Utilise Microsoft packages, time and kitchen management software.
* Induct and identify development needs of employees; assist with staff training.
* Assist in personnel matters including disciplinary and grievance procedures at the appropriate level.
* Maintain awareness of COSHH and Infection control requirements.
* Ensure compliance with Knowledge of Food, Fluid and Nutrition Standards and Policy for Older People in Residential and Day Services.
* Address non-compliance with appropriate food service knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills
* Diploma in Food Hygiene.
* Food Production qualification.
* Experience in staff management.
* Budgetary awareness, numeracy and literacy skills.
* Current, valid driving licence.
* Induction training will be required before starting in post.
* Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland will be required before appointment.
Employment Details
Contract type: Permanent
Working pattern: 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday, approx. 7.12 hours per day)
Location: Based at Bankhead Central, Glenrothes, covering Fife Wide
Salary: £33,732.26 – £41,972.91 per annum
