Job Description Summary Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements. This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training. The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own discipline area and is considered basic. The tasks are generally routine and manual. The job is expected to follow detailed and defined rules / instructions and to make simple judgement in straightforward situations. Typically requires selecting between solutions already established. A Manufacturing Operator effectively builds the products manufactured by Stryker to the required quality standard What you will do Assemble, test and package product in strict accordance with Work Instructions Transfer Material to designated areas Receive Materials Perform other such operations on Product for which appropriate training/instruction has been given Be aware of the Quality imperative in all aspect of work What you need GCSEs or equivalent including Mathematics and English, Grade A-C or relevant experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in a manufacturing environment would be preferred Knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality systems in a Manufacturing Environment would be preferred Team Player Ability to effectively follow work instructions and procedures Shift We have positions available for both of the below shifts Day Shift - Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 6.30pm Evening Shift - Monday - Thursday 8pm - 6.30am Skills: Manufacturing Warehousing Customer Focus Organisation Communication Quality Teamwork
