Morson Edge are currently seeking a Support Services Storekeeper within WMS at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis.
JOB PURPOSE
The Storekeeper is required to manage all of the Support Services logistics requirements and administration in support of the equipment, component, servicing, and repair operations. The Storekeeper is responsible for ensuring their professional knowledge of storekeeping and stores accounting procedures and principles remain current.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
To co-ordinate and manage the stores administration and procedures within the Support Services. This requires regular interaction with all the Bays, including Customer dispersed sites to check for any stores demands, issues and returns. The post holder should develop a close working relationship with the Customer and all Bay Supervisors. They are to report any issues or concerns to the Deputy Support Services Manager
Liaise with the Supply Chain Department (SCOC, Buildings 167, 660 and 415 Stores), R2 Manager and other external agencies (DT's and LH (UK)) to ensure an efficient communication and Supply Chain is maintained to Support Services
Ensure that all demands are placed, and transactions are expedited.
Promote and maintain correct stores procedures in accordance with Defence Logistics Framework (DLF), LH(UK) standards and practices as detailed in current regulations throughout the Support Services.
To ensure records of all demands made by the Bays are kept up to date on SAP and MJDI
Ensure all P and L class stores are signed for and ensure they are recorded against the appropriate A-in-U.
Post holder will hold an A-in-U account as required.
Ensure access to the SAP/MJDI terminal is controlled and only authorised trained personnel operate the system.
Check demand progression for all outstanding demands utilising SAP/MJDI with the appropriate stores desk LH (UK) or DT's informing the Deputy Support Services Manager and Bay Supervisors of any issues.
Manage the return of R2/ R4 assets by the following methods: Issuing to Bldg. 167 Stores
Scrapping locally where necessary
Disposal.
Any reasonable task within the post holder's grade that contributes to the efficient running of
the Support Services.
Carry out Duty Keys for Building 767 on a rota basis.
Support State Demands as required through MJDI from Workshops Support Hub holdings
Maintain a full driving licence including category B
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Extensive inventory management experience and have an in-depth knowledge of the MoD Logistics structure and operation
An awareness of the role and structure of the Stores Department
Health & Safety awareness including Manual Handling
A working knowledge of Quality Assurance and MAOS
Ability to work as part of a small team with the minimum of supervision
Hold a current MJDI v8.1 MA qualification.
Have a detailed knowledge of GOLDesp to logistics level and have competency to hold access level 7
