Purpose We have an exciting opportunity as a Graduate TVS Design Engineer. Responsible for developing discrete novel ESD device structures and processing technologies for TVS products (Transient Voltage Suppressor Products) which meet the products specs defined by Marketing. The Key Responsibility Areas Include Run TCAD (Technology Computer Aided Design) simulations to design and optimize process flow for TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor), ESD/Surge protection structures. Determine design rules and process conditions to meet the target electrical specifications. Define the split plan of the process and interface with process integration engineers to execute the DOE plan. Interface with foundries to implement a process flow design which meets BU's product requirements. Work on photomask layout of device structures, generate GDS file and tape-out. As part of a team, perform DFMEAs and design reviews to ensure compliance with company procedures. Interface with product engineering to analyse data from assembled wafers. Developing the value of the Intellectual Property portfolio by documentation, re-use and protection, as appropriate. Candidates Should Possess Degree or equivalent in Physics, Electronics or related discipline. Higher degree in semiconductor devices or microelectronics related subject or module(s) (desirable). Skills Good understanding of the operation of transistors and diodes. Good understanding of engineering principles. Good IT skills - standard MS Office software. KNOWLEDGE an understanding of semiconductor device physics. An appreciation of TCAD simulation environments for design/development of semiconductor devices. Experience an appreciation of semiconductor manufacturing, or product/ process development within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. an appreciation of the use of laboratory equipment for device measurement, characterisation and analysis.
