Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to come and provide leadership to the acute therapies administration team as the current post holder is retiring. You would be joining a supportive therapies management team and take on the role of managing the rotas for the therapies team and wider admin team. The team provide excellent admin support to the clinicians supporting with outpatient clinics, equipment ordering and management and rotas.

Main duties of the job

To lead and manage the acute therapies admin team across both acute sites.

To lead on ensuring rotas are kept up to date and organised in advance.

To support and oversee the admin team with the ordering, delivery and management of therapy equipment including ordering and stock management.

To support the therapy management team with diary management

1. Experience of working in an administrative role
2. Experience of managing complex rotas
3. Experience of managing staff

Desirable criteria

4. Previous NHS experience

Qualifications

5. Educated GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths
6. Management/leadership training

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria

7. Good oral and written communication skills
8. IT skills – including word, excel, powerpoint and email
9. Flexibility – ability to cope with changing demands
10. Ability to understand basic budgets and principles of financial management
11. Good organisational and time management skills
12. Ability to deal with people in challenging situations
