Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in a care home or home care setting and possess excellent communication skills. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily needs of individuals, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing while adhering to care plans.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Follow individual care plans to deliver tailored support to each resident.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the healthcare team.
* Support residents with meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met and encouraging social interaction during mealtimes.
* Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote their physical and mental wellbeing.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
* Drive to various locations as required for home care visits.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently.
* Proficient IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for roles that require travel between locations.
* A genuine passion for providing compassionate care and support to individuals in need.
Job Type: Part-time
