Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Clean Air Zone (CAZ) Programme Lead on a two year fixed-term contract to drive the delivery of a high-profile programme aimed at improving air quality and reducing harmful emissions. This is a unique opportunity to lead a transformative initiative that supports healthier communities and sustainable transport solutions. About the Role Lead the Future CAZ programme, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local objectives. Manage programme governance, budgets, and risk frameworks to deliver on time and within scope. Oversee the implementation of technology platforms, including vehicle compliance and payment systems. Engage with stakeholders across government, transport operators, businesses, and the public to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Monitor and report on air quality improvements and programme performance. About You Proven experience in managing large-scale transport or environmental programmes. Strong knowledge of air quality legislation, sustainable transport, and emissions reduction strategies. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly. Financial and commercial acumen, including experience in procurement and contract management.
