Job Title: General Cover Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Telford
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, Ongoing)

We are looking for a reliable and proactive General Cover Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Telford. This full-time, ongoing role involves covering lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, starting immediately. You'll play a key role in maintaining a high standard of education and ensuring students continue to make progress in the absence of their usual teacher.
Responsibilities:
Cover a wide range of lessons across different subjects for KS3 and KS4 students
Follow lesson plans provided by regular class teachers and maintain a structured learning environment
Manage student behaviour effectively to ensure a productive classroom atmosphere
Support students with learning tasks and provide additional assistance where needed
Take responsibility for the students' well-being and safety during lessons
Communicate effectively with other staff to ensure smooth transitions between classes
Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents or issues during lessons
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred but not essential)
Experience working with secondary school students, ideally KS3 & KS4
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in a variety of subjects
Excellent organisational skills and flexibility to adapt to different teaching situations
A current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, during term time
Full-time role (approx. 8:30am - 3:30pm)
