About the Role
We are seeking a focused and methodical individual to join our team for a 2–3 months temporary contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements. The primary responsibility of this role is the precision disassembly and reassembly of telematics devices to perform battery replacements. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands on intricate, small-scale electronics and is looking for a short-term role with potential for growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Carefully disassembling telematics units, managing very small screws and delicate internal components.
* Replacing internal batteries while ensuring no damage occurs to the sensitive circuitry or housing.
* Reassembling devices to original specifications, ensuring all seals and fasteners are correctly seated.
* Performing basic quality checks to ensure the device is functional after the battery swap.
* Maintaining an organised workspace to track small parts and components for multiple units.
Required Skills and Attributes
* Exceptional Dexterity: You must be comfortable using precision hand tools (such as micro-screwdrivers and tweezers) to handle "fiddly" components without causing damage.
* Patience: This is repetitive, detailed work that requires a steady hand and a calm approach, especially when dealing with stubborn or miniature parts.
* Attention to Detail: A high level of focus is required to ensure every screw is returned to its correct position and every component is aligned perfectly.
* Reliability: Ability to maintain a consistent pace while upholding strict quality standards throughout the duration of the contract.
Preferred Experience
While specific telematics experience is not required, we welcome applicants with backgrounds in:
* Watch repair or jewellery making.
