Overview
Senior Social Workers - Child Protection & Court Teams (Locality) - Sandwell Children’s Trust. Hybrid Working - full time 37 hours per week. Salary £45,339 - £50,726 per annum plus relocation allowance up to £6,500 and a retention bonus of up to £10,000 over 3 years. Market supplement of £2,500 per annum. Generous annual leave up to 31 days, plus 5 days for long service recognition, with additional birthday leave and bank holidays. Pension with employer contributions of 21.6%. We are recruiting exceptional Senior Social Workers to join the Child Protection & Court Teams who are passionate, committed and dedicated to improving the lives of children & young people.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the Assessment & Intervention Teams in the same locality to respond swiftly when children’s needs are more acute and risks are higher.
* Plan and work in an organized way to meet timescales set by the Trust and the Court.
* Produce reports for Court, write court statements, care plans and assessments, and provide evidenced-based recommendations for children.
* Represent the Trust in giving evidence in Court.
About the role
Based in a locality model with a focus on good quality assessments and dynamic planning to deliver timely evidence-based interventions and progress pre-proceedings/care proceedings through to permanency planning. This service strengthens partnership working with families in local communities.
Requirements
* Recognised professional Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
* Completion of ASYE programme.
* At least 2 years post-qualifying experience in a Children & Families setting.
* Good knowledge of minimum standards and ability to promote change in family life.
* Ability to analyse information and make informed decisions; good knowledge of child development.
