' Interim Management Accountant | 3 Months initially | Fixed Term Contract or Day Rate | £40,000 - 55,000 DOE | Leeds This isn’t a “keep the seat warm” contract. In fact, the role could go beyond this and become permanent if you wanted. It’s a chance to walk into a a subsidiary of a well-regarded, national business at a moment where things need tightening up, properly understanding, and quietly fixing by someone who knows what they’re doing. You’ll be working directly with a Head of Finance to help them navigate through the next few month ends, helping bring clarity to the numbers, structure to the processes, and confidence ahead of audit. If you like roles where you can make things better, not just maintain them, you’ll enjoy this. What you’ll actually be doing. Support in bringign together the next few monthly management accounts. You’ll step in confidently, handling accruals, prepayments, and reconciling sales and cost of sales without fuss. · You’ll start by getting under the skin of the balance sheet. · There are historic issues that need unpicking, nothing dramatic, but they need someone methodical and commercially aware to investigate properly, fix cleanly, and make sure they don’t happen again. · At the same time, there’s a real opportunity to improve how things work day-to-day. What matters here This role isn’t about ticking boxes. We’re looking for someone who: has strong management accounts experience Can spot what’s not quite right and fix it properly Is comfortable dealing with messy or unclear historic data Brings a calm, structured approach to work Understands how finance processes should work in a growing business Can operate with a good level of independence, while still being collaborative Studying towards or a qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant would be beneficial Why this role is worth your time · It’s a business that cares about quality in its product and in how it runs. · You won’t be buried in layers of hierarchy.
