Overview
Social Worker — Grade C- with salary of £35,412 - £41,771. Working 36.5 hours per week. Fixed Term Contract – 10 months (Maternity Cover). Part of the Early Intervention Community Team (EICT) based within various locations. You will work across busy Multi-Disciplinary Teams to facilitate Social Work practices.
Based at Birmingham City Council, this role is part of the EICT Pathways, delivering person-centred practices to enable citizens to exercise choice, control, and independence, and to build resilience.
Responsibilities
* Deliver person-centred practices as part of the EICT Pathways, enabling citizens to exercise choice, control and independence, and to build resilience.
* Focus on prevention and early intervention, supporting, guiding, and signposting individuals.
* Carry out assessments using the 3 Conversations model in line with the Care Act 2014.
* Work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team and in partnership with other stakeholders, applying relevant legislation.
* Carry out Social Work functions within the legislative framework, providing conversations, support and guidance, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Work at pace and demonstrate resilience to deliver under pressure and within required timeframes.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Demonstrable Social Work experience.
* Ability to work positively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team and in partnership with other stakeholders.
* Interest in and skills to work within the EICT Pathway.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work at pace and maintain resilience.
* Willingness to operate within the Care Act 2014 framework and related legislation.
