Job Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist
Location: Dudley
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full-Time)
Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our supportive, multi-disciplinary team working within a school setting. You will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, parents, and other professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess, plan, and deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions for pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
* Develop and implement individual therapy programmes and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Provide practical strategies and training to school staff to support pupils in the classroom.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with professional standards.
* Liaise with families and external agencies where appropriate.
Requirements
* Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Experience working with children and young people with special needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, developmental coordination disorder).
* Strong understanding of school-based therapy and educational frameworks.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential).
