Roadside Technician – Wednesbury, West Midlands (County)
A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years’ post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience, a customer‑focused approach and a full UK driving licence are required.
As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it’s a flat battery, tyre change or complex fault‑finding, you’ll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most. You’ll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making a real impact on the roadside – combining your technical expertise with outstanding member service. We’ll provide your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit.
Responsibilities
* Provide mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics across the UK.
* Handle emergency breakdown support, including flat batteries, tyre changes and complex fault diagnostics.
* Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to members.
* Maintain high levels of member service and safety.
* Use diagnostic equipment and ensure tools are ready for each call‑out.
Qualifications
* Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent.
* At least 2 years post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
* Customer‑focused approach and strong communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
