Local Plan Programme Manager
Location: Flexible Hybrid (onsite as and when needed)
Duration: 6 months initially
Rate: Daily rate, negotiable depending on experience
Working Pattern: Open to both full-time and part-time options
We are seeking an experienced Local Plan Programme Manager to lead and coordinate the delivery of two Local Plan reviews.
This role will provide overarching programme and project management oversight of the planning policy function, ensuring that both Local Plans are delivered efficiently and in line with the Government’s emerging new Local Plan system.
You’ll complement the existing team of officers and interims, bringing strategic leadership, structure and delivery focus to a complex and high-profile programme of work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and oversee the programme management of two Local Plan reviews, ensuring alignment with emerging national planning policy and legislative changes
2. Scope out requirements, governance arrangements and delivery milestones for both plans
3. Conduct a resource review and prepare delivery plans, including commissioning and managing evidence base updates
