Podiatrist (Bank) – The Alexandra Hospital – Bank Shifts – Salary: Up to £25.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Podiatrist to join their team in the Physiotherapy department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis; you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties of this role include:
* Conduct comprehensive podiatric assessments, including gait analysis, biomechanical evaluations, and neurovascular screening.
* Diagnose and manage a variety of foot and lower limb conditions such as nail pathologies, skin lesions, musculoskeletal abnormalities, and diabetic foot complications.
* Deliver care that supports the prevention of falls, ulceration, and amputation, particularly in high-risk groups such as those with diabetes or vascular disease.
* Work closely with physiotherapists, nurses, GPs, orthopaedic consultants, and other health professionals to deliver coordinated care.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential clinical records in line with HCPC, organisational, and GDPR requirements.
* Educate patients, carers, and staff on foot health and risk prevention strategies.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
* BSc (Hons) Podiatry or equivalent qualification.
* HCPC registration as a Podiatrist.
* Strong clinical assessment, treatment, and care planning skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
