Maintenance Technician – FMCG / Manufacturing

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced, highly automated production environment?
We’re a leading UK manufacturer within the FMCG sector, operating some of the most technically advanced facilities in the industry. Our sites run 24/7, and we pride ourselves on high standards of safety, reliability, and innovation.
The Role
Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you’ll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll plan and coordinate daily maintenance tasks, respond quickly to breakdowns, and use your technical expertise to help reduce downtime and improve performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and coordinate daily work with the maintenance team
* Support production through a call-out rota (1 week in 4)
* Operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively
* Conduct risk assessments before maintenance tasks
* Minimise downtime by responding quickly to breakdowns
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
* Contribute to site safety targets and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
* Core electrical qualification and 5+ years’ relevant experience
* Strong mechanical skills and PLC/process control experience
* FMCG or manufacturing background
* Skilled in prioritising tasks and managing time effectively
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
* Full UK driving licence
