Food Preparation Assistant – Temporary Contract

Berkeley Scott is currently recruiting a Food Preparation Assistant to support our clients busy retail food store on a temporary basis.
Contract Details:
1. Start Date: 5th January 2026
2. Duration: 1 month (ending 7th February 2026 )
3. Working Pattern: 5 days over 7 (set rota)
4. Location – BS16 1QY
Key Responsibilities:
5. Preparation of bakery products, including pastries, hot food-to-go items, and impulse products such as doughnuts and cookies
6. Putting away food deliveries and stock
7. Assisting with stock ordering, including packaging supplies
8. Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times
Training:
9. Full training provided from 5th January to 7th January 2026
Proposed Rota:
10. Sunday: 7:30am – 3:30pm
11. Monday: 6:30am – 2:30pm
12. Wednesday: 6:30am – 2:30pm
13. Friday: 6:30am – 2:30pm
14. Saturday: 7:30am – 3:30pm
Candidate Requirements:
15. Previous food preparation or bakery experience preferred but not essential
16. Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to early morning shifts
17. Able to work in a fast-paced environment
18. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
