Hours & Schedule
22.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, shift patterns 8am – 5pm plus weekend working/on-call. Days and hours negotiable.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide first‑line HR support to Trust employees and managers, acting as the first point of contact for general HR queries and payroll, temporary staffing, and other HR transactions.
* Support the maintenance and usage of the Computerised Payroll and HR information system – Electronic Staff Record (ESR), including updating and correcting employee records for managers.
* Respond to user queries, triaging complex issues to the appropriate HR team member and liaising with third‑party providers such as external payroll vendors.
* Plan and prioritise own day‑to‑day workload, working within set procedures and timetables, and discuss workload and task prioritisation with the Line Manager.
* Analyze and evaluate user data, run standard reports and occasionally more complex reports to support workforce planning and information needs.
* Assist in the production of basic workforce information, including extracting data from standard reports and evaluating routine and occasionally complex data.
* Contribute to local audits and other research or development activities as agreed within the Human Resources Team.
Policy and Service Responsibilities
* Provide commentary on workforce policies and implement departmental policies within own work area, proposing changes in response to new legislation or guidelines.
* Ensure adherence to data protection requirements by providing information to authorised users only.
Responsibility for Staff
* Support team members during their induction and explain department processes and procedures.
* Share HR Services knowledge with other team members as required.
Technical & Skills Requirements
* Advanced keyboard and computer skills, familiarity with HR systems such as ESR.
* Ability to resolve basic user queries and provide data queries within authority limits.
* Strong analytical, judgmental, planning and organisational skills.
