Are you ready to make a real impact and help shape the future of social housing services in Thanet? This is an incredible opportunity to join Thanet District Council's Tenant and Leaseholder Services as a Resident Engagement Officer. We're embracing the exciting social housing reforms and the landmark Social Housing Act 2023, putting our residents at the heart of everything we do. It's all about engaging residents and influencing positive change. We're seeking a passionate and proactive individual to help us ensure that our residents feel heard, valued, and empowered to influence improvements. You'll be instrumental in fostering strong relationships, working in partnership with tenants and leaseholders, and developing innovative ways to deliver the highest quality services. This includes coordinating and delivering effective public consultations, gathering valuable feedback, and ensuring resident voices are central to our decision-making. We believe in a flexible approach to our work, always striving to provide safe, secure, and well-maintained homes. By listening and working collaboratively, we can accelerate improvements and tackle future challenges together. Do you have the skills and experience we're looking for? We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, who can effortlessly engage and empathise with a diverse range of residents. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills will be key to building effective collaborations with residents, colleagues, and external partners. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and empowering people to improve their communities, we want to hear from you. Experience in a customer-facing environment would be a fantastic advantage. Please note: Due to the nature of this rewarding role, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as part of their pre-employment checks.
