What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Manage, coach, and develop your team of Drivers to ensure optimum performance and efficiency
* Ensure the effective Kick-Out, Transport Admin and De-briefing of all Drivers
* Support the team to meet operational objectives such as service provision, productivity, and compliance KPIs
* Be the focal point for all Drivers and Customer Service-related queries and to resolve all issues
* Deliver and support ongoing continuous improvement projects
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Previous experience working in a fast-paced transport team, preferably with exposure to temperature-controlled deliveries, transport compliance and Working Time Directive (Desirable)
* The ability to effectively communicate in both a written and verbal capacity whilst building relationships with customers. Computer literate, to include Outlook, Word and Excel
* Due to the shift times, you will need to be able to drive or get to site as local transport is restrictive at these times
* Ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers & other internal departments
