Please note that, effective from 1 April 2023, candidates applying for roles requiring PVG membership will be responsible for the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above, including teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £30,285 per annum / £16.64 per hour).
The Council will initially cover the PVG membership costs—£18 for existing PVG scheme members or £59 for non-members—and this amount will be deducted from the employee’s first full month’s salary.
Job purpose/about the role
The role involves delivering quality education to assigned pupils and contributing to the professional and corporate life of the school, in accordance with the SNCT agreements.
Minimum requirements for the post holder:
* Appropriate teaching qualification
* Full GTC (Scotland) registration in the relevant subject/sector, or eligibility for such registration
* PVG scheme membership – Working with Children
