Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Butchery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and preparation, along with a strong understanding of food safety practices. This role is essential in supporting our butchery operations, ensuring high-quality meat products are available for our customers while maintaining excellent service standards.
Duties
* Assist in the preparation and cutting of various meats according to specifications. Including stirfry dishes, ready to cook meals and our added value range
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butchery area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Package meat products for display and sale, ensuring freshness and quality.
* Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with their selections.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food handling.
* Participate in inventory management, including receiving and storing meat products properly.
* Utilize knife skills effectively to perform meat cutting tasks safely and efficiently.
* Assist preparing online orders ready for delivery or collection
Qualifications
* Previous experience in food production or preparation is preferred.
* Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations related to meat handling is preferred
* Demonstrated knife skills and experience in meat cutting are advantageous.
* A background in the food industry will be considered a plus.

This position is an 8am-5pm working day 5 days per week. Working 2 in 4 full weekends. However flexibility to cover holidays is essential
