MSFS Fund Accountant – Associate (Glasgow)
We are looking for a Fund Accountant to support our growing Hedge Fund client portfolio in Glasgow.
What you will be doing
The Fund Accountant will manage the full accounting life cycle for alternative investment funds, including daily NAV calculations, month‑end P&L and balance sheet preparation, fee allocation, and investor reporting. The candidate will work closely with clients and colleagues across Asia, Europe and the US.
* Calculate daily Net Asset Values (NAVs) – P&L analysis, position and cash reconciliations, and report trading issues.
* Review monthly capital movements and ad‑hoc corporate actions.
* Analyse performance and validate income/expense journals.
* Finalize month‑end P&L and balance sheet for client sign‑off.
* Produce investor‑level allocation of income and expenses, including incentive and management fees.
* Support client queries in partnership with the relationship manager.
What we’re looking for
* Qualified or part‑qualified ACCA/CIMA/CA accountant or equivalent experience.
* Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
* High attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Critical thinking and problem‑solving to identify efficiencies.
* Sound judgment when escalating risk.
* Proficient in Excel.
* Willingness to learn new skills and deepen technical knowledge.
