Role Overview: Location: Gloucester Package: Competitive salary benefits Industry: National Security / Advanced Technology What You’ll Be Doing: Designing, simulating, and implementing FPGA-based digital logic solutions. Developing and optimising real-time digital signal processing algorithms, including filters, FFTs, and signal demodulation. Building and managing high-speed hardware interfaces such as ADC, DAC, and PCIe. Working closely with embedded software, PCB design, and systems engineering teams to integrate firmware into wider systems. Supporting lab-based testing and debugging using specialist equipment to validate and refine designs. Main Skills Needed: Strong FPGA development experience using VHDL or Verilog. Background implementing DSP algorithms in hardware environments. Experience working with MATLAB or Simulink for modelling and simulation. Programming knowledge in C/C++ or Python for testing, automation, or embedded interaction. Solid understanding of digital communications and RF concepts.
