In this highly visible role, you will:
* Work closely with the Finance business leaders and commercial partners to understand current and future business plans and to provide specialist and commercially focussed tax advice
* Provide advisory support to the Eastern Hemisphere business including ensuring compliance & reporting management happen in a timely manner
* Support the Head of Tax on advisory projects; representing the tax department in cross department projects.
* Provide support and guidance as needed to Tax Managers.
* Deputise for the Head of Tax in their absence
* Manage and maintain relationships with third party advisers and work closely with the finance teams including the US tax team.
An example of duties include:
* Research tax technical points and evaluate their impact on the Group or entities.
* Lead the provision of commercially focussed tax advice to finance and commercial managers on bids, new business opportunities and other projects.
* Lead specific tax related projects including M&A and restructuring, dividend planning and Group Financing.
* Review the impact of new tax legislation on existing group companies and report those changes.
* Develop and demonstrate best practice ways of working for the tax team to adopt.
You will have demonstrable experience in a similar role and show a strong understanding and experience of international tax issues in a wide range of jurisdictions.
