The role
As Private Client Tax Senior Manager, you will take ownership of a complex and rewarding client portfolio, combining technical compliance with planning and advisory work. You will work closely with directors and partners, acting as a trusted adviser to clients and a senior technical presence internally.
The role is mainly office-based in Royal Tunbridge Wells, with hybrid working (three days in the office) and occasional travel to London for client meetings.
What you'll be doing
* Managing a portfolio of private clients, trusts and estates
* Reviewing and overseeing trust accounts, trust and personal tax returns, R185s and IHT filings
* Preparing and reviewing estate tax returns and related advisory work
* Supporting partners and directors with ad hoc planning across trusts and estates
* Explaining complex tax issues to clients in clear, practical language
* Acting as a senior point of reference for technical queries within the team
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members as required
